A file from my cupboard #2 - Ujung Genteng Trip

Ujung genteng is one of beautiful places in Indonesia, it’s a southern coastal area of west java (Sukabumi, Ciracap). The distance is about 220 km from Jakarta and 230 km from bandung and it takes 8 hours till 11 hours by bus to reach there @-@
July 8th,  2011 we started at 6 am from Mbak Desy flats and reached Surade’s terminal at 4.15 pm in the same day . It was a long ride, isn't it :)....

We have passed many beautiful places such as hills, mountain, tea plantation, limestone hills, rice terrace, rubber tree forest and added it with a heavy traffic jam around sukabumi area then met lots of hawkers who came to the bus along the journey, but those things made this trip more interesting *-*
The hills along the way to Ujung Genteng, isn't it beautiful..:)

The River....
Rice Terrace, so refreshing right..:)
The Forest...
We were lucky when we arrived at Surade's terminal we met with good motorcycle taxi riders and from there they guide us to curug cikaso, curug cigangsa and then drove us to our hostel at pondok hexa ujung genteng with a fairly cheap rate *IDR 80.000 cringgggg *. We arrived  at 8 pm, we got a good and clean room. the best part of  the hostel is the location near to the beach,  I could even smell the fresh air of the ocean from our room.

the water is really clear and clean....

On the 2nd day, we went to the beach near to the fish market. We bought porridge chicken’s for our breakfast IDR 3000 cringggg and we took some sunrise pics it was cloudy though.

After that we back to the hostel for freshen up and rest  a while.
We decided to walk a long the ujung genteng's shore, we went to aquarium beach, batu nunggul beach , cibuaya beach and ended up at pagumbahan beach to see the released of baby turtle at 5.30 pm, we took our lunch at Anugrah Restaurant near to Cibuaya beach, the meal was good and I think from 2 days I have been staying there this restaurant is the only one restaurant who serve a good meal.
Well, The distance from one shore to another  is quite far and you also have to consider  the sun  is pretty hot but to me all those things will be paid by an awesome landscape view. So, my suggest  to all of you  who wanna go there have to make sure your condition first, if u don't want  to be tan or  don't wanna have big shank/betis tukang becak you can take motorocycle taxi. estimation 50000-65000 IDR (hostel-aquarium beach-batu nunggul beach-cibuaya beach and ended up at pagumbahan beach)
Because we were too tired to walk back to the hostel we decided to order motorcycle taxi for drove us to our hostel and picked us for our night tour to see the Giant turtle (Chelonia Mydas) * the ojek route pagumbahan beach-pondok hexa ;pondok hexa-pangumbahan and then back to pondok hexa , it cost us IDR 60.000/person..cringggg *
The motorcycle taxi picked us at 9.30 pm , it took 20-25 mnt to the pangumbahan beach. Fyi, the turtle (Chelonia Mydas) usually comes ashore at night (around 9 pm till 4 am) and there are 6 nesting posts but only 2 posts are available for the tourist according to one of the watchman staff at the turtle conservation.
We were lucky She come bit early at 10 pm but the nesting process took more than a hour and no light allowed during the process. So it’s really. really dark only the moonlight is available light source. :p,  I only could hear the waves crashing the shore and felt the cold of the winds ….
After the turtle finished burying her eggs on the beach the officer allowed us to use the flashlight and everybody was busy taking pictures the poor turtle before she went back to the ocean.
On our last day, we ordered a local public transportation (angkot merah) to picked us at our hostel and bought us to surade’s terminal but we requested to the driver to stop by at amanda ratu beach. The beach is very nice, there are many coconut trees and the air is very refreshing.
As part of our narcissism we took lots of pics  heheheh. here there are
lots of big roks there ^-^
batu nunggul beach, I guess... no sign board there :P

A file from my cupboard - exploring the ancol

Somewhere in May 2011 Panas member had family gathering  at Ancol,……
2 weeks before that I was shocked with that rumors.
well last year we were went to Bali and theoretically this year we should increase the sense of our holiday *ex: go to abroad  is a great idea, right ? . specially when it's a company gathering and it mean free holiday once a year.. heeeeeee :p....

anyway, due to some of the workers request to bring their family and other considerations then Panas decided Ancol to be our destination place. I tried to be always positive minded although I quite bored with the place.. :P

At 1st day me and mbak metty went to the beach & we were rent the boat for a half hour IDR 20.000/person. The sunrise at Ancol’s beach not too bad althought the sky wasn’t bright enough….here some of the pics
