Happy New Year....
I'm still uploaded my 2011's trip.
this time is another story from my Oct trip to Bali, it was my last trip for 2011
I went to Bali with my friends (my church friends (GEIS hope)),ratri,hasna and nike) from Oct 26 to Oct 29,2011.
Me and some of my friends got promo tickets from Air Asia as usual :D
we only paid for IDR 445.600 (round-trip) yippie :D.
due to tight and different itinerary. I decided to spent my times (4night and 3 days) with ratri,nike and hasna, and then I met my church friends at night time only.

For me, Bali is one of the great places for budget-minded traveler.it's very easy to find low-rate hostels or backpacker hostels here. U can found it along Jl.poppies 2 and poppies 1. The price also negotiable, I mean more longer u stay more strong your bargain power for have a best price (>1 week) :). The location also strategic near to the airport, legian night life, kuta's beach and few amusement places.
example,we arrived 11 pm at Ngurai Rai airport then we were straight to poppies 2 (you better take motorcycle taxi rather than taxi), knock few hostels then got 1 room at Cempaka 2 hostel (legian Poppies 2). The place is good, quiet clean, the rate is IDR
150000/night/3 person included a nice breakfast : toast bread, fruit salad and
tea/cofee, very cheap isn't it? :), then you don't need to paid a deposit for your room. The staffs very friendly.
One bad thing, the place is very noisy at night due to it's near to pub and for me it ain't a problem, after-all who going sleep early if you on vacation in Bali right...:D but I wouldn't recommended this place for family traveler.so many bugil/tipsy ppls here and it would be a poor sleep quality for ur children.
*note :no booking for backpacker
hostels. :s
Anyway, there's no public transportation in Bali, so you have to take a taxi or rent a car or motorcycle.we rent motorcycle for 2 days (45000/day) and with it we went
to :
* Tanjung benoa,
Tanjung Benoa is located 15 kilometres from NguraiRai International airport and approx 20 minutes drive from kuta but if you are already staying within the Nusa
Dua cluster, it is just few steps away from the west gate.
it's a good place for water sport activities because the beach is very quiet unlike in Kuta, sanur or uluwatu.
we chose Hendrik-Virgo Dive & Water Sport as our water sport agent. I think hendrik gave a best price among the agents, like example : parasailing price only 50000 IDR and banana boat 45000 IDR.
They have many water sport activities such as : Flying fish,snorkeling,scuba diving, jet ski, Glass Bottom Boat and going to turtle island etc.
I surely will contact hendrik if I come to bali again. here is his mobile phone just in cast if u need a water sport's agent :

* then GWK,
A cultural park complex, it's located in southern Bali only 10 minutes drive from Ngurah
Rai airport, 25 minutes from Kuta, and 20 minutes from Tanjung Benoa.
Designed and built by Nyoman Nuarta,
one of Indonesia’s foremost modern sculptor, when I came there the GWK statue project haven't finished yet.
The GWK statue is replica of
Dewa Wisnu riding Garuda.If the statue project is completed, it will be stand as high as 145 meters beyond the height of the Statue of Liberty
and can be seen from the radius to 20 miles. it's gonna be the biggest statue in the world... yippiiie for Indonesia.so guys, put GWK as one of ur itinerary.
* Entrance ticket 25000 IDR/prs and it's included to see some balinese dance. recommended time to visit : 4 pm till 7 pm to see kecak dance and barong dance. and one more thing they have holly water for u who looking a soulmate.

* Uluwatu temple,
Uluwatu temple, is a Hindu temple, located in Pecatu village, Sub
district of South Kuta, and Badung Regency. from GWK you just straight
up to the top and follow the signboard road, it takes approx 45 minutes.
Uluwatu
is one of the best place in Bali to see sunset, it is featured by a
small dry forest which is mostly called by Alas Kekeran (interdict
forest) which is belong to the temple and dwelt by a lot of monkeys and
other animal.
note :
* Come at 4 till 7 --> to see the sunset and watch one of the famous Balinese dance * barong dance*.
* Take lots of pic at the uluwatu's cape. the view is gorgeous.
* Be careful with the monkeys bring stick to beat off them and pls..pls hold tight ur camera, sunglasses or other valuable items, the monkeys can take ur valuable things from your back.
* if the monkey stole one of your stuff, pls call the officer they will help you.
here some sunset scene I took.

*Kintamani, danau batur anda tampak siring temple
is located in Kintamani sub district, Bangli Regency and about 50 km from Denpasar Town. if you want to go there you should go early around 8 am. Kintamani area owns the beautiful panorama of an awesome volcano (mount Batur) and great view of batur lake with a little cold air but all the mixtures was amazing and refreshing your mind, in addition, along the way to kintamani you also can see carpet of the beautiful rice terrace, unfortunately those beautiful things ruined by local hawkers. we got approached by them who tried sell wood bracelet and other souvenir things. and they not only sell their things but forced us to bought it. the price also more expensive than other places :(
here are the pics, although ruined by them the place was worthwhile to see it

* Tanah lot
Tanah Lot is located in Beraban Countryside, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, west part of Bali. It is about 45 minutes drive from kuta, legian.
I think Tanah Lot is one of Bali's icon.
it is famous for the breathtaking view of sunset, a gorgeous scene of Indian ocean and an unique temple located on a rock just few meters offshore
tips :* if you don't like crowded you should come early at 8 am
and if you come above than 11 am you will see lots of tourist mixture with souvenir stalls and others, so, it bit mess, I guess.
and you probably difficult to shoot a clear picture without interfered by others image on your object
* you can buy coconut water while you enjoy the beauty of tanah lot :)
here some pictures at tanah lot, Bali

my night shopping at Krisna |
Krisna is shopping place that open 24/7, so if you have a tight schedule flight and itinerary, and you haven't buy souvenir for your relative or colleagues, I highly suggest you to go to krisna, you can buy everything there from t-shirt,bracelet, snack, bag,and so on. they sell many kind of products and the place also nice and comfortable. every time I went to Bali I never forget to stop by there.
JoGGer
peopels said it's the factory of words, you find lots of unique words or story on their products.They sell
flip-flops, bag, t-shirt and many things. Jogger only have one store. it's located in Jl. Sulawesi 37, Denpasar (in the front of Pasar Badung - biggest traditional market in Bali) and they only open from 9 am till 5 pm.
this bali trip was amazing and I would like
